Suvarna Turmeric Powder – High Curcumin Himalayan Turmeric from Uttarakhand

Product Details

Suvarna Turmeric Powder by Pahari Haat is a premium high-curcumin turmeric (Curcuma longa) sourced from the high-altitude valleys of Uttarakhand. Sun-dried and stone-ground in small batches. No artificial colour or additives. 100g.

Unlike commercially grown turmeric harvested on a fast 8–9 month cycle, ours follows a slower traditional Himalayan cultivation cycle (exact duration to be confirmed), allowing the rhizomes to develop deeper colour, stronger aroma and naturally higher curcumin content than standard plains-grown turmeric.

What Is High-Curcumin Turmeric?

Curcumin is the primary bioactive compound in turmeric, responsible for its golden colour and much of its traditional use in Ayurveda and Indian cooking. Curcumin content varies significantly by growing region, soil, altitude and cultivation method — turmeric grown slowly in mineral-rich mountain soil is generally associated with deeper colour and higher potency than fast-grown commercial turmeric.

FAQs

What makes Suvarna Turmeric Powder different from regular turmeric powder?

Suvarna Turmeric Powder is sourced from the high-altitude Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand, where turmeric naturally matures over 18–24 months. This extended harvesting cycle helps develop a richer color, stronger aroma, and naturally higher curcumin content compared to regular commercial turmeric.

Is Suvarna Turmeric Powder high in curcumin?

Yes. Suvarna Turmeric Powder is naturally rich in curcumin due to the traditional cultivation methods, mineral-rich Himalayan soil, and slow maturation process followed in Uttarakhand’s mountain regions.

Can I use this turmeric for golden milk or turmeric latte?

Absolutely. This turmeric powder is ideal for preparing turmeric milk, golden latte, herbal kadha, and wellness beverages because of its deep flavor, vibrant golden color, and natural potency.

Is this turmeric chemically processed?

No. Suvarna Turmeric Powder is free from artificial color, preservatives, additives, and chemical polishing. It is traditionally processed to retain its natural properties.

Where is this turmeric grown?

The turmeric is cultivated in the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand, India, in clean mountain environments known for traditional farming practices and nutrient-rich soil.

How should I consume Suvarna Turmeric Powder daily?

You can add it to warm milk, herbal teas, curries, soups, smoothies, or wellness drinks. Many people also use it in Ayurvedic home remedies and DIY skincare preparations.

Why does Himalayan turmeric have a deeper color?

Turmeric grown in high-altitude Himalayan regions develops a naturally deeper golden color due to slow growth, cooler climate conditions, and longer maturation periods.

Is this turmeric suitable for cooking?

Yes. Suvarna Turmeric Powder is perfect for daily cooking and can be used in Indian curries, vegetables, lentils, soups, rice dishes, and herbal preparations.

Does this turmeric contain preservatives or artificial color?

No. The product contains 100% pure turmeric powder with no preservatives, fillers, synthetic color, or additives.

How should I store turmeric powder?
